The most obvious expression of glorifying God at FPC is Sunday morning worship. At times we also offer contemporary worship or Taizé services. These are times of public worship when we honor God through music, preaching, liturgy, and silence.
If you come on a Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. to worship with us, you will find worship which is by-and-large traditional, featuring a pipe organ as the primary instrument, hymns, biblical preaching and many traditional readings. Periodically, other instrumentation and styles of music are incorporated in worship. We strive to balance a sense of awe and reverence with a sense of warmth and openness.
While worship is the most obvious form of glorifying God. We truly pray that all that we do at FPC ultimately glorifies God. In fact, our expanded mission statement states, that we believe God has called us to…”Glorify God through: corporate worship, prayer, fellowship, stewardship, education, social outreach, music, and evangelism.”
