MINUTES OF CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

JUNE 18, 2006

After proper notice was given, a Congregational Meeting was held at the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas June 18, 2006, at 11:45 a.m. in sanctuary.

Moderator, Reverend Dianne Brown called the meeting to order, declared a quorum present, and gave the opening prayer.

Reverend Brown stated the purpose of the meeting was to elect Charlotte Cobb as an elder. With Ms. Cobb being elected an elder she would be eligible to participate in the Commissioned Lay Pastor Program. Reverend Brown called Stacy Cogbill, Clerk of Session, to make the motion for election.

MOTION - With a recommendation from the Session, Mr. Cogbill

moved that Charlotte Cobb be elected to the office of

elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana,

Arkansas. Her election would be for the purpose of

participating in the Commissioned Lay Pastor Program,

and she would not serve on the current active Session of

the church. However, this would not prevent her from being

elected to the active Session at sometime in the future. The

second to the motion was made by Danny Gray.

Reverend Brown asked if there were questions or any discussion. There being none, she called for the vote and the motion passed unanimously.

The meeting was closed with the benediction by Danny Gray.
