SESSION MINUTES

SPECIAL MEETING MAY 14, 2006

A Special Meeting of the Session of the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas was held on Sunday, May 14, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in the Library/Session Room.

Elders present were Fran Keasler, Billie Ford, Don Johnson, Lynn Jackson, Lil McClerkin, Clerk Stacy Cogbill, and Moderator Reverend Dianne Brown. Elders with excused absences were Richard Sexton, Carla Lacy, Sheila Moore, David Williams, Dean Ransdell, and Cordell Klein.

Reverend Brown opened the meeting with prayer. She announced that the purpose of the meeting was to receive a new member.

NEW MEMBER

Anna Street (wife of Dr. Robert Street) was presented to the Session. Ms. Street is coming to our church on her reaffirmation of faith from the Beverly Hills Baptist Church of Waco, Texas. Reverend Brown asked Ms. Street several questions concerning her belief and faith.

MOTION - was made by Lynn Jackson and seconded by Lil McClerkin to

receive Ms. Street into the membership of our church. The motion

passed.

The Session extended a warm welcome to the new member.

ADJOURNMENT

Reverend Brown closed the meeting with prayer.
