SESSION MINUTES

SPECIAL MEETING APRIL 23, 2006

A Special Meeting of the Session of the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas was held on Sunday, April 23, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in the Library/Session Room.

Elders present were Billie Ford, Carla Lacy, Lynn Jackson, David Williams, Lil McClerkin, Cordell Klein, Clerk Stacy Cogbill, and Moderator Reverend Dianne Brown. Elders with excused absences were Richard Sexton, Fran Keasler, Sheila Moore, Don Johnson, and Dean Ransdell.

Reverend Brown opened the meeting with prayer and declared a quorum present. She said the purpose of the meeting was to receive new members.

NEW MEMBERS

Coming to our church from the First Presbyterian Church of Ashdown, Arkansas was:

Reg Jackson and Jeanne Jackson and their sons Mark and Brett Jackson.

Coming to our church from Sugar Hill United Methodist Church of Texarkana, Arkansas was: Charlotte Cobb.

MOTION - was made by Lynn Jackson and seconded by Lil McClerkin to

receive the new members by transfer of letters. The motion passed.

The Session extended a warm welcome to the new members.

ADJOURNMENT

Reverend Brown closed the meeting with prayer.
