In February our church was the featuredcongregation on the PCUSA home page, resulting in over 200 visits to this website during that time.
Family Camp at Ferncliff Over 60 folks....members of our church family and their extended families....enjoyed a wonderful weekend of fellowship and fun at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center from June 26 to 28. Vacation Bible School
13-17 July
This year's theme was Camp E.D.G.E., which stands for Experience and Discover God Everywhere. Led by a great team of adults and youth (including Sparx the Fox, the Science Guy, and mystery guests), the children drew closer to God as they discovered that God is with them at all times, in all places, and in all circumstances....and learned how to share that love with others. The week ended with a wonderful cookout (courtesy of Mark and Martha Nell Richardson) and program by the VBS Campers. They know the meaning of 'ichthus'...Do you?
Ice Cream Social
So many flavors to choose from!
The weather may have been hot, but the ice cream was cold and the fellowship was warm as members of several of the downtown churches gathered for the annual Ice Cream Social, Sunday afternoon, July 12th.
Sunday Brunch
Sunday, July 12th, was the last at the organ for our interim organist and choir director, Jim Works. He and his wife, Brenda, were honored with a brunch before worship. We thank Jim for his faithful service, leadership in worship, and inspired playing during the past months. We look forward to singing with them both in the future.
