Ways FPC Members and Friends can Continue to help with Relief for Haiti After the devasting earthquake in Haiti, where our Men of the Church support the Haiti Education Foundation, many wonder how we can help. Donations can be made to HEF, to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance or to Ferncliff Camp and Conference Centerwhere hygiene kits are being prepared. The PDA website also includes updates and resources for churches during this time. You may also choose to give via the Red Cross. Another place to donate is Living Waters for the World, one of the missions supported by our Presbyterian Women and Synod of the Sun. About 50% of their projects have been affected. They plan to rebuild in partnership with Solar Under the Sun , a new mission of our synod. Click here for a letter regarding the current situation in Haiti.
Thanks to FPC Junior High Youth, Will Gloster, Matt Arnold, Madeleine Pellegrin and Laura Alyse Davis, who gave their time over Martin Luther King holiday weekend for mission work in Little Rock. They assembled PDA/Church World Service hygiene kits for Haiti at Ferncliff and worked at missions of First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock. Thanks to Arkansas Presbytery and Ferncliff for hosting them.Putting together Hygiene Kits during Family Camp last summer...
Please continue to keep the people of Haiti in your prayers. We pray for Haiti God of compassion
