CONGREGATIONAL MEETING MINUTES

OCTOBER 7, 2007

 

 

 

After proper notice was given, a Congregational Meeting of the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas was held on Sunday, October 7, 2007, following the morning worship service.

 

Moderator Reverend Dianne Brown declared a quorum present, asked the Clerk to record the minutes, and opened the meeting with prayer. Reverend Brown said the purpose of the meeting was to elect church officers for 2008 (to serve three years through 2010).

 

Lynn Jackson, Co-Moderator of the Nominating Committee was called to give the report. Ms. Jackson said the members of her committee were Co-Moderator Billie Ford, Gail Abrahamson, Dan Boyles, Andrew Gloster, Danny Gray, and Becky Thompson.  

 

Ms. Jackson said all nominees had been contacted and had agreed to serve. She then placed the following member’s names in nomination and made a MOTION that they be elected:

Reverend Brown asked if there were any nominations from the floor. There were none. She called for the vote and the motion passed unanimously.  

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

The meeting was closed with the Benediction.
