MINUTES OF CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

FEBRUARY 11, 2007

 

 

After proper notice was given, a Congregational Meeting was held in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas on February 11, 2007, following the morning worship service.

 

Moderator Reverend Dianne Brown called the meeting to order, declared a quorum present, asked Clerk Stacy Cogbill to record the minutes, and gave the opening prayer.

 

Reverend Brown said the purpose of the meeting was to authorize the Trustees to negotiate interim construction financing with Regions Bank.

 

Church Treasurer Lary Walker presented the proposal to the congregation.

 

            MOTION –    Mr. Walker made the following motion: That the Trustees of the

                                    First Presbyterian Church, Texarkana, Arkansas, be authorized to

                                    negotiate interim construction financing with Regions Bank. The

                                    amount of the loan is not to exceed $200,000.00 and it will not be

                                    secured. The term of the loan will be a maximum of twenty-four

                                    (24) months. Richard Hall seconded the motion.

 

Reverend Brown asked if there was any discussion of the motion. There being none, she called for the vote and the motion passed unanimously.

 

The meeting was closed with the Benediction.
