This year we are focusing on two (2) Lenten practices: Contemplative Prayer and Reading the Gospels in 40 Days. Instructional pamphlets are available outside the church office or download a copy using the links below.
You can maintain either practice on your own or join a group at the church for more accountability. On Sunday morning during the six weeks of Lent, these groups will provide an opportunity for you to share your experiences weekly with others who have chosen the same practice.
Contemplative prayer will meet in the blue room upstairs. Scripture Reading will meet in the yellow room upstairs. Both groups meet during the Sunday School hour, starting at 9:45 a.m. If you have questions call the church office at 774-6453.
UPDATE: The dinner was a success, raising over $1000! Thank you to everyone who participated!!
You are loved!!! And we would love to have you join us for dinner! On Friday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m. our FPC Youth and Northwood Presbyterian Youth will host a Valentine’s Dinner to help raise money for their trips to Montreat (Youth Conference for the older ones; Music Conference for the younger). Any one of them will be happy to sell you a ticket! It’s just $15.00 for a delicious meal of brisket, potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, and homemade desserts!
It’s that time again! Our FPC youth will be collecting for the Souper Bowl of Caring this Sunday, February 6th after worship. Please bring some extra dollars to drop in the pots! This year the money collected will go to the feeding program of LifeHouse Ministries. Thank you for your generosity!
