The 2010 Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study
The Mission Yearbook, the quintessential mission resource, has brought the Presbyterian family together daily for prayer and study for over 117 years, beginning as a prayer list produced by a group of Presbyterian women. The 2010 edition tells this history and features stories collected around the theme, “Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38)
If you already have a copy, please consider a donation so that our shut-ins and new members can receive copies.Suggested donation is $10, and all proceeds will go to Domestic Violence Prevention, Inc.

Family Fair Night - FUN!!
What do those Deacons DO? How does Evangelism work within the church? Presbyterian Women? They are everywhere - how can I be a part? Buildings and Grounds? I never knew members took care of the operations of our building and campus. The time arrived to answer those questions and many more!
In place of our regular Family Night Supper, on February 3rd, folks were welcomed to Family Fair Night! Moderators and members of our seven church committees each had a fair booth in and around the Fellowship Hall. Church volunteer organizations and programs such as Angels Quilts, Card Ministry, the Sharing Place and Presbyterian Women were represented, too.
FPC Youth served corn dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, and nachos in addition to the finger foods provided for potluck. Folks mingled, ate, played games (and won prizes) and learned how these groups enable members (and friends) to be a living entity serving God. We hope the result was a spark of interest for you as you recognize your own spiritual gifts for service and involvement.
Take a closer look at what it means to work together in the church by reading this article from PNS (Presbyterian News Service) on 'Collegial Leadership'.
Haiti Still in Need

Above all, continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
Goodland Academy still Collecting Campbell Product Labels
A reminder from PW.... Don't throw away your Campbell Soup (and more) labels! Goodland Academy, a Presbyterian school in Hugo, OK for children with special needs, has collected over 1,000,000 of the 1,600,000 labels needed to acquire a new 7-passenger van. Check here for a list of all eligible products. The whole label is not required... just the UPC code
Souper Bowl of Caring on Sunday, February 7th
Following worship Sunday, FPC youth were at each door with containers for your contributions to the Souper Bowl of Caring. Begun by the youth of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in South Carolina twenty (!) years ago, this has grown into a nationwide time of giving to local food projects. The almost $800 from ourcollection will go towards our monthly dinners for the Randy Sams' Outreach Shelter. Thanks for your generosity!
Diaconate Mission for February is "I Love Evelyn"
In conjunction with the FPC Youth effort to provide for I Love Evelyn, a ministry for the homeless, the Diaconate mission for February is the collection of items needed in that ministry. If you feel led and are able, please drop off any of the following items in the Mission Box in the foyer of the Fellowship Hall: instant coffee, hot chocolate mix, snack crackers, peanut butter, jelly, bottled water, etc. Thank you.
